Location and Transportation
The City is adjacent to and accessible from three Interstate 65 exits, Alabama's primary north-south artery. Just south of Millbrook is the Interstate 65/85 interchange, which connects central Alabama with Atlanta, Georgia, approximately 2 1/2 hours away. (map)
The Montgomery Regional Airport (Dannelly Field) is located in the City of Montgomery, approximately 20 miles away. National bus transportation is available in Montgomery.
The Alabama River is located near Millbrook and is navigable all the way to the port of Mobile, Alabama. The river is used primarily for the transportation of commodities, foodstuffs and chemicals.
Community Life
Millbrook promotes a genuine sense of community and pride, and offers many opportunities for civic involvement. Numerous civic and service organizations are credited with 50 years of contributions to and the orderly growth of the area. Churches are an important part of community life. More than 50 churches representing most major religious denominations are located in the area.

Geography
Millbrook lies within the transitional zone between Alabama's Piedmont Plateau and the Coastal Plain. It is characterized by small gently rolling ridge tops of sandy loam soil, by hilly and gravelly slopes, and by range land. The elevation ranges from less than 200 feet adjacent to the rivers to as much as 745 feet on the ridge tops in other areas. The climate of the area is characterized by long warm summers and short, relatively mild winters.
